Quick answer

What documents do I need for a Saudi electronic visa waiver from the UK?

You need a passport valid 6+ months from entry with two blank pages, a recent passport-style colour photo on a white background, a working email address, a payment method, proof of accommodation in Saudi Arabia, and qualifying visa or permit evidence when the waiver rules ask for it. Passport requirements

  • Machine-readable biometric passport.
  • Valid for at least 6 months from the date you enter Saudi Arabia.
  • At least two blank visa pages for entry/exit stamps.
  • No damage to bio data page (no torn pages, water damage, missing chips).
  • Emergency travel documents and temporary passports are not accepted.

Saudi visa photo requirements

  • Recent — taken in the last 6 months.
  • Colour, not black and white.
  • Plain white background, even lighting, no shadows.
  • Head and shoulders only, facing camera, neutral expression.
  • No glasses, sunglasses, hats, or face coverings (religious head coverings allowed if the face is fully visible).
  • JPEG or PNG, 200 KB+, ideally 35×45 mm proportions.
  • No selfies — get a real passport photo from a UK photo booth or app like PhotoAID.

We check your photo against these rules before submission. If it fails we'll tell you immediately so you can replace it.

Supporting documents

  • Confirmed Saudi hotel booking (Makkah for Umrah trips).
  • Return or onward flight reservation.
  • Optional: invitation letter for family visits or business events.
  • For the eVisa Waiver: British passport bio scan and any further documents the official Saudi form requests for your application.

What the government waiver fee does not include

The authority charge for the Saudi electronic visa waiver does not bundle emergency medical or travel insurance.

The Saudi tourist eVisa is a different product with its own rules and fees. We do not assist with the tourist eVisa.

What disqualifies a Saudi visa application?

  • Passport with less than six months' validity.
  • Photo on a coloured background, with glasses, or low resolution.
  • Mismatched names between passport and travel bookings.
  • Applying inside Hajj season without a Hajj permit.
  • Previous overstay or deportation from Saudi Arabia without resolution.

Requirements for group and family applications

Every traveller is a separate application — including infants and children. Each person needs their own passport, their own photo, and their own hotel/flight links. We keep documents tied to each traveller in the dashboard so nothing gets confused at submission.

We check your passport, qualifying visa evidence, photo, hotel, and flight before submission so the application isn't rejected on a technicality.
